Personal Life : Married to Esther Magalei Macy. Nine Children.

 

Patrick Macy, aka Uncle Pat, was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Hawaii.  As the newest member to the International Student Services office, Pat brings fond memories of growing up in Laie.  As a student here at BYU-Hawaii, Pat served as a Vice President in the Student Leadership Council for three years.  One of his past-time favorites is having participated on the BYU-Hawaii Rugby team that toured the South Pacific Islands in 1978. 

Professionally, Pat brings strong credentials and valuable experience.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from BYU-Hawaii, a Master’s in Education Administration from BYU-Provo, and an Educational Doctorate from Northern Arizona University.  Together with his educational background, and missionary experience in the Montana Billings Mission amongst the Native Americans, Pat has been effective with the diverse populations and age groups he has worked with.
