Mission Statement
Welcome to International Student Services! On a campus of about 2,400 students at Brigham Young University – Hawaii, approximately 50% of the enrollment is international from over 70 different countries. Our goal is to train students in a diverse cultural setting to become leaders in their home countries, as well as globally, for the establishment of peace internationally.
International Student Services strives to support our international student body by serving, supporting and mentoring students in their immigration status, academic progress, as well as spiritual development. We strive to increase cultural awareness, and help students adjust to this pre-dominantly western educational system. It is a priority to help students work through and overcome challenges that arise, as well as encouraging them to fulfill their greatest potential. We want every student who enters this university to have a positive experience and to leave a better individual for having been here.
