Counseling Services > Counseling

Counseling is available to full time students and their dependents free of charge in Counseling Services. Types of counseling available:

Academic

Help with study methods and skills, test taking techniques, memory, organizational skills, time management, test anxiety management, note taking, reading text books, and motivational improvement. Our goal is to get students back on academic track and help them be successful students. We also provide information about academic policies and procedures.

Marital/Relationship

Help with improving communication in marriage or premarital couples. Working out difficulties that arise between roommates, friends, or members of families.

Personal

We assist students in dealing with any mental health issue, such as depression, anxiety, self-confidence, adjustment to a new culture, homesickness, overcoming self defeating habits, anger management, and adjusting to college life.

Career and Undeclared Major

Sometimes students are unsure about the major that they want to pursue while in college, or the direction that they can take with that major after college. They may also need assistance making decisions about graduate school options. We provide information and counseling to help with these normal transitions.
