BYUH Grinds Mills

Maggie Deng waits to return serve during today's win

Laie, HI—The top-ranked Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s tennis team breezed past Mills College (CA) today with a 9-0 sweep for their 75th straight win to improve to 15-0 for the season. The Seasiders overwhelmed Mills by winning every game but one during the competition.

Elwen Li, Maggie Deng, Ayako Ikeda, Jenny Chin, and Ramona Husaru each won 6-0, 6-0 at the first five singles positions and Janelle Selfaison won 6-1, 6-0 at the sixth spot. The Seasiders also swept all three doubles matches by 8-0 scores.

The Seasiders will play UH-Hilo twice tomorrow in Laie at 10:00 am and again at 2:00 pm HST.
