Seasiders Win Again

Ayako Ikeda stretches to serve during today's doubles action

Laie, HI—The top-ranked Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s tennis team swept 11th-ranked NCAA III member Gustavus Adolphus today, 9-0, to improve to 2-0 for the season and record their 62nd consecutive dual match win. The Seasiders opened the day by sweeping all six singles matches in straight sets before winning the three doubles matches by comfortable margins.

Freshman Ayako Ikeda swept her singles match at the number six spot, 6-0, 6-0, and all five other Seasiders prevailed in their singles matches without dropping more than two games in any set. BYU–Hawaii cruised through doubles play just as easily.

The Seasiders will face Chaminade on February 21st in Waipio at 2:00 pm HST.
