Seasiders Drill Chaminade

Becky Lu drills a return during today's doubles play

Laie, HI—The top-ranked Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s tennis team continued their winning ways with a 9-0 sweep of Chaminade today for their 64th straight win and 297th in their last 299 matches. The Seasiders swept the three doubles matches handily and won all six singles matches in straight sets.

Sophomore Shenley Searing took a 6-0, 6-0 singles win at the number five spot and Ayako Ikeda and Jenny Chin dominate the third doubles slot with an 8-0 win for the Seasiders. Becky Lu, at number three singles, and Janelle Selfaison, at number six, each lost just one game in cruising to their wins. Elwen Lee and Maggie Deng combined for an 8-1 win at number one doubles and then each gave up just two games in winning at numbers one and four in singles play.

The Seasiders will face UH-Hilo next on February 29th in Hilo at 1:00 pm HST.
