The BYU-Hawaii Women's Soccer team is in its 2nd year of existence as a NCAA Division two team. The team's first year of NCAA competition began in the fall of 2006 with 25 new players coming together mainly from the west coast to form the first ever BYU-Hawaii women's soccer team. This team was able to pull off some magnificent feats for a first year program. Their inaugural season saw the Lady Seasiders compiling a superb 12 and 4 record on the year in which they nearly won their first ever Pac West Conference championship while falling 1-0 in the championship game for the title. One of their strengths for their first year of play include finishing in the top 25 in the nation in both goals scored per game, and in best defense. Being ranked respectively 17th in the country in offense with 48 goals scored in 16 games, and 22nd best in the nation for defense only allowing 10 goals against them for the year.

Second year head coach Justin Wagar was a former Seasider Men's soccer who played for BYU-Hawaii back in 1998 as he helped lead the original men's team to a 10-5 record as their starting sweeper. He later would go on to serve and complete an honorable two year mission to Denver Colorado for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 1999 to 2001. Wagar began his coaching career at Kennewick High School in 2001, before moving to the Division 1 college coaching ranks as an assistant at Utah Valley State for three years prior to accepting the position at BYU-H.

The BYU Hawaii Soccer team competes’ at the NCAA Division two level while playing a challenging schedule of local and nation wide teams. This year's team boasts players who's soccer backgrounds represent athlete's from 7 states across the country. This year's team will be working towards the goal of having another successful season here at beautiful BYU-Hawaii.
