| October 6, 2007Seasiders Fall to Vulcans
Hilo, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s soccer team lost a conference match for the first time this season today, falling 1-0 at UH-Hilo. The Seasiders dropped to 8-5-1 for the season and 5-1 in the PacWest. UH-Hilo is now 5-4 overall and 3-0 in the conference. Seasider goalie Becky Ploeger played a great game and came up with six saves in the match but UH-Hilo scored the game’s only goal in the 38th minute on a kick by Lacey Schreiner with an assist from Kelly White. Jill Haar got off two shots for the Seasiders and Hailey McKee had a solid look as well, with all of BYU-Hawaii's scoring opportunities coming in the second half. BYU–Hawaii’s next action will be another Pacific West Conference matchup on October 20th against Chaminade in Laie at 11:00 am HST.
