Hilo, HI–The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s volleyball team lost 3-0 to UH-Hilo tonight in a non-conference match on the road. The Seasiders, who came within a point of upsetting the Vulcans last night, came up just short in all three games tonight, losing 30-27, 30-25, 30-27 to fall to 9-8 for the season.

Sophomore outside hitter Agnes Tuilevuka put down ten kills to lead the Seasiders tonight. Leading hitter Noelle Filimoeatu was held to just eight kills and Faylynn Merrick added seven for BYU–Hawaii. Keisha Moeai came up with 12 digs for the Seasiders and Tanza Buroker put up seven blocks for the second night in a row for BYU–Hawaii. Merrick and Ane Vea each contributed six blocks and Filimoeatu added four in the loss.

Josimara Pinheiro had 20 kills to lead the Vulcans, now 16-5 overall. Hillary Hurley had ten kills and Laura Rodriguez made 26 digs for UH-Hilo in the win.

BYU–Hawaii will face the Notre Dame de Namur on Wednesday in a conference match in Laie at 7:30 pm.
