Seasiders Down Vulcans Again

Marvin So'onalole (shown in earlier action) was a double winner today

Hilo, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team defeated UH-Hilo today 5-4 for the second day in a row. Just as they did yesterday, the Seasiders took two of the three doubles matches before claiming three singles wins to close out the victory and improve to 2-0 for the season.

Rong Ma, Agnel Gladwin Peter, and Marvin So’onalole were all double winners for the Seasiders today. Ma and Peter combined for an 8-5 win at number one doubles and each scored a win in singles as well. Ma took a 6-4, 6-3 victory at the second singles slot and Peter scored a 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 win at the fourth singles position. So’onalole teamed with A.J. Bartlett for an 8-2 doubles win at number three doubles and then won at number five singles by a 6-2, 6-3 score.

The Seasiders will face Division III power Emory (GA) on March 11th at 2:00 pm HST in Laie.
