Noguera was honored by the Pacific West Conference as its Player of
the Week for September 3-9 |
Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s soccer
player Brian Noguera has been named the Pacific West Conference Player
of the Week for the week of September 3-9. Noguera, a senior midfielder
from Provo, Utah, scored four goals in and made four assists over four
games during that week and led the Seasiders to a 3-1 record for the
week.
Noguera started the week with two goals in a 4-2 loss to Embry Riddle
Aeronautical. In the Seasiders’ second game of the week, Noguera
scored the only goal of the game on a great move, beating three defenders
before netting the goal, in overtime to lift the Seasiders to a 1-0
win over La Verne. Then, in the first round of the Hawaii Collegiate
Challenge Cup, Noguera scored a goal and got two assists in a 4-0 win
over Chaminade. He ended the week with two assists as the Seasiders
defeated UH-Hilo 4-3 for the championship of the Challenge Cup.
