Seasiders Fall to GCU

Phoenix, AZ—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s soccer team lost to Grand Canyon, 3-0, today in the Pacific West Conference season opener for both teams. The Seasiders failed to get a shot on goal in the first half while giving up all three Grand Canyon goals as they fell to 4-3 for the season and 0-1 in the PacWest.

The Seasiders played the Antelopes evenly in the second half but neither team was able to score after the intermission. BYU–Hawaii goalie Doug Hansen finished the game with five saves.

BYU–Hawaii will face UC Santa Cruz on Thursday at 3:00 pm PCT in Santa Cruz, California in their next match on their six-game road trip.
