Seasiders Finish 11th

Olympia, WA—The Brigham Young University-Hawaii men’s golf team shot a combined 314 today for a final score of 616 at the St. Martin’s Invitational. The Seasiders’ total gave them an eleventh place finish in the 13-team field at the two-day tournament.

Freshman Brandon Van Dyke carded the day’s lowest score for the Seasiders with a four-over 75 to finish the tournament at 149 in a tie for 40th place. Brett Puterbaugh scored a 79 today for a two-day total of 152 and a tie for 47th place. Kyle Kunioka finished with a 78 for a 155 total good for a tie for 53rd and Abel Soares tied for 63rd place with a score of 82 today for a 160 total. Neal Manutai shot an 83 today to finish at 172 and 72nd place.

Sonoma State won the tournament with a 551 score and Jarin Todd of Sonoma State took individual honors by shooting a nine-under-par 62 today for a total of 129.

The Seasiders will compete in the Western Washington Invitational beginning on Monday in Bellingham, Washington.
