Seasiders Get Win

Turtle Bay, HI—The Brigham Young University-Hawaii men’s golf team defeated Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade today at Turtle Bay’s Fazio Course in a three-team match. The Seasiders shot a team total of 319 on the par 72 course to defeat the Sea Warriors by five strokes. Chaminade finished well back of the other two teams.

BYU-Hawaii’s Kyle Kunioka earned medalist honors for the Seasiders with an even-par 72. Brandon Van Dyke and Derek Hall both came in at 78 and Brett Puterbaugh carded a 91 to round out the team scoring for the Seasiders. BYU–Hawaii’s Josh Coon signed an incorrect scorecard and was disqualified despite finishing with a 78.

BYU-Hawaii will play again on March 29th at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix, Arizona.
