Seasiders Move Up

Livermore, CA—The Brigham Young University-Hawaii men’s golf team moved up one notch in the final round of the Notre Dame de Namur Invitational today at the Poppy Ridge Golf Club to finish in 13th place in the tournament. The Seasiders passed St. Martin’s in the final standings by posting a final round 308 for a three-round total of 934.

BYU-Hawaii’s Kyle Kunioka shot a 75 today to finish with a 229 score to lead the Seasiders and tie for 36th place overall. Brett Puterbaugh shot BYU–Hawaii’s best round of the tournament today, carding a one-over 73 to finish tied for 46th at 232. Derek Hall came in with an 83 today to tie for 56th place at 239 while Brandon Van Dyke rounded out the team scoring with a 240 after today’s 78 left him tied for 60th place overall. Joshua Coon also competed for the Seasiders and finished the day with an 82 for a 244 total good for 64th place in the tournament.

Valdosta State won the team title by two strokes with an 875 total while Brent Witcher of Valdosta took medalist honors by four strokes with a 12-under 204.
