Seasider Golfers Second

Turtle Bay, HI—The Brigham Young University-Hawaii men’s golf team suffered a narrow defeat to Hawaii Pacific today at Turtle Bay’s Fazio Course as they finished second in a three-team match. The Seasiders shot a team total of 308 on the par 72 course to trail the Sea Warriors by a single stroke. The Seasiders out-paced Chaminade by 45 strokes.

BYU-Hawaii’s Brandon Van Dyke shot the best round for the Seasiders with a 75. Brett Puterbaugh and Kyle Kunioka both carded 77 and Derek Hall came in at 79 to round out the team scoring. Josh Coon shot an 85 for the Seasiders. Hawaii Pacific’s Brian Keller claimed medalist honors with a 71.

BYU-Hawaii will play again on March 8th at the Notre Dame de Namur Invitational in Belmont, California.
