Seasiders Second

Turtle Bay, HI—The Brigham Young University-Hawaii men’s golf team finished in second place today in a four-team match at Turtle Bay’s Palmer Course. The Seasiders shot a team total of 320 on the par 72 course to finish behind UH-Hilo but ahead of both Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade.

Brandon Van Dyke shot the Seasiders’ low round of 77 today, followed closely by Kyle Kunioka at 78. Brett Puterbaugh carded an 82 while Abel Soares and Joshua Coon each scored 83 for the Seasiders.

UH-Hilo’s Logan Goulding earned medalist honors with a one-over 73 and the Vulcans scored a team score of 298 to win handily.

BYU-Hawaii will play again next Wednesday against Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade on the Fazio Course at Turtle Bay at 1:00 pm.
