Seasiders
Third
Laie, HI- The BYU-Hawaii harriers finished third in both the men's and
women's races at the BYU-Hawaii Invitational cross country meet today.
Hawaii Pacific dominated the meet, sweeping the top five men's places
for a perfect team score and placing five women in the top ten to win
easily.
BYU-Hawaii got top-ten finishes from Namea Curtis in the women's race
and Tom Jordan and Steve Soelberg in the men's race. Curtis put on a great
sprint at the end of the women's race to edge HPU's Heather Postema for
seventh place, while Jordan nabbed the sixth spot and Soelberg the ninth
for the Seasider men.
Hawaii Pacific's Christian Madsen took the 8K men's race with a time
of 27:13 and Sayuri Kusutani won the women's 5K with a time of 18:19.
HPU's top female runner, Nina Christensen, sat out today's race due to
illness.
