Postal Money Orders The BYU-Hawaii Mail Center issues Postal Money Orders. There is a service charge of $0.90 per money order up to $500.00 & $1.25 for any amount over $500 up to $1000.00 that is made in addition to the amount of the money order. The maximum amount of a money order cannot exceed $1000.00. ONLY cash can be accepted for payment of a money order. A check may NOT be used for payment. Be sure to tear out white carbon copy of money order for your record. Laie Post Office does carry International Money Orders. Make sure you let them know when you purchase one where you are sending it, for there are some countries that do not accept Money Orders.
