If I leave on a mission, how can I ensure that my scholarship will still be available when I return?
Before you leave on your mission you should complete a Scholarship Deferment Form (22k PDF) and submit it to the Financial Aid Office. Submitting a deferment form does not guarantee that any or all of your scholarships will be approved to be deferred.

Are returned missionary scholarships automatic or do I need to apply?
They are not automatic. If you would like to be considered, you should complete a Returned Missionary application form and send or fax it with a copy of your release certificate or a letter from your Mission President (with a statement of your release date) to the Financial Aid Office as soon as you are accepted and enrolled at BYU-Hawaii.
