Exceptions to Established Policies

If I am denied a scholarship, can I appeal the decision?
Students submit appeals to the Scholarship and Awards Board by writing a letter of appeal and turning it in to the personnel at the Financial Aid Service Window, or by mailing it to the address listed at the bottom of this page. Please review the suggested format for appeal letters.

Are there ever any exceptions to the established scholarship policies?
We recognize that students sometimes face unusual and unanticipated challenges. We invite students to document the situation and petition the Scholarship & Awards Board for an exception to established policy. Please petition in advance, whenever possible.
