Private Scholarships
- Current application period: March 1 - 31, 2008.
Distribution period (as applicable): 2008-09
- Important note: All need-based scholarships require a Financial Need Worksheet(FNW) to be completed and attached to the application. In addition, U.S. citizens, legal Permanent Residents and U.S. Nationals need to complete the FAFSA and attach a copy of the Student Aid Report that is received from the Department of Education.
Private scholarships are provided by friends of the University who donate to BYU-Hawaii. The qualifications for each award are different because each donor establishes the criteria. You should carefully review the requirements before applying for any private scholarship.
The CGPA eligibility is determined by the CGPA at the time of each disbursement, not the CGPA the student had at the time he applied for the scholarship.

Financial Need- Applicants must demonstrate financial need to be considered for this type of award.

Geographical- These scholarships are restricted to certain applicants based on country of origin as specified by the donors of the funds. |
Returned Missionary- These awards are for applicants that have served a successful mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Miscellaneous- This is where we've put scholarships which do not easily fit into the other categories. |
Graduate- Awards in this category are for BYU-Hawaii graduates who are pursuing a Masters degree. |
