Scholarship Requirements:

 

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA 3.0
  • Major: Any
  • Abide by the Honor Code of the University
  • Enrolled at BYU-Hawaii for 12 credit hours per semester
    (6 credits per term)
  • Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
  • Preference given to applicants from the following areas in descending order: Pacific Islands (excluding Australia but including New Zealand and Hawaii),
    then Pacific Rim countries (including Asia and Central and South America but excluding U.S. mainland and Canada),
    then US mainland and Canada
  • Demonstration of financial need
  • Attach a completed Financial Need Worksheet (included with application form), and attach required documents, W-2's, etc.
  • If eligible, complete the FAFSA and attach a copy of the Student Aid Report you receive from the Department of Education.
  • Submit a completed private scholarship application form to the Scholarship Office by the deadline.
  • Attach a typed, one-page essay to the application
