Scholarship Requirements:

 

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA > 3.0
  • Major: Any
  • Abide by the Honor Code of the University
  • Enrolled at BYU-Hawaii for 12 credit hours per semester
    (6 credits per term)
  • Demonstration of financial need
  • Attach a completed Financial Need Worksheet (included with application form), and attach required documents, W-2's, etc.
  • If eligible, complete the FAFSA and attach a copy of the Student Aid Report you receive from the Department of Education.
  • Commitment to complete education
  • Preference given to students who are descendants of labor missionaries who helped build the Church College of Hawaii and the Polynesian Culture Center. (If applicable, mention this in your essay and provide proof)
  • Submit a completed private scholarship application form to the Scholarship Office by the deadline.
  • Attach a typed, one-page essay to the application.
