The Fund for Veterans' Education

The Fund for Veterans' Education:

Be veterans of any branch of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines), Coast Guard, National Guard and Armed Forces Reserves.
Have served and been deployed for at least 60 days in Afghanistan or Iraq after September 11, 2001, or be veterans who were deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq after September 11, 2001, but did not meet the 60-day active service period as a result of a service-related injury or condition incurred while serving in Afghanistan or Iraq.
Be enrolled on a full-time or part-time basis in an undergraduate program of study at any accredited two-year or four-year institution, public or private, including technical schools for the Spring 2008 term.
Have applied for and accepted all federal, state and institutional need-based grants and all available military educational benefits.

Hospitality and Travel Scholarship from the Hawaii Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association (HHSMA). IMA National Scholarship Program

John Gyles Education Center

This Award are available each year to students in both Canada and the United States. A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required. Criteria other than strictly academic ability and financial need are considered in the selection process. Selected student will receive up to $3,000.00. National Federation of the Blind: Each year at its national convention in July, the NFB gives a broad array of thirty scholarships to recognize achievement by blind scholars.

Sallie Mae Fund: Offers several different scholarships. The My Family Scholarship Program is for Hispanic-American students who are the first in their family to attend college. The American Dream Scholarship Program is offered to African-American students with demonstrated financial need. The First In My Family Scholarship (for Hispanic-American students who are the first in their family to attend college)and Unmet Need Scholarship (for individuals and families with a total income <$30,000 per year)are also available. SeattleFoundation

The Seattle Foundation-

Atsuhiko Tateuchi Memorial Scholarship: Students from Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii or Alaska are eligible. The scholarship is for $5,000 and they plan to make up to 10 awards this year. Preference will be given to students of Japanese ancestry or other Asian ancestry.

The Shui Kuen and Allen Chin Foundation:

The scholarship is $1,000 for the 2006-2007 academic year. Applicants must have worked in an Asian restaurant or have at least one parent having worked in an Asian restaurant.
