Purpose of the Committee

*The Special Needs Committee (SNC) was organized to discuss issues pertaining to the ADA Law and how this law affects the BYUH Campus.

*The SNC is also responsible for pushing through issues of importance to help student with special needs.

*The SNC is responsible for making the BYUH Campus ADA Compliant by pushing forth projects that will fulfill ADA requirements for those individuals who do have disabilities.

*The key term for the SNC is "Reasonable Accomodations."

*The University is a private organization.  Therefore, the University is exempt from ADA compliancy.  However, the SNC would like to make sure that the University does provide "reasonable accommodations" to not only our students, but to those individuals who visit our campus on daily basis.
