Student Counseling Services
The Student Counseling Services is located in Room 181 of the McKay Building. It provides individuals, couple, and group counseling by mental health professionals. A licensed psychologist also administers or supervises psychological and psycho-educational testing.
Counseling Services emphasizes proactive support, assisting students on a regular basis to prevent significant problems. We offer a volunteer tutor network, services for students with special needs, and a variety of programs for Pacific Islanders, women, married students and their dependents, and other student groups. These services help students increase their coping capacities, facilitate personal growth, and reduce stress and dysfunction.

Mental Health Services Psychological assessments for learning disabilities and mental health problems, counseling and psychotherapy for a wide spectrum of personal problems ranging from serious depression to conflicts with roommates, marriage counseling, family therapy, premarital counseling, and a variety of group therapies throughout the year. Crisis-on-call service (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) for BYUH students and their dependents in conjunction with BYUH security, 293-3911. |

Services for Students with Special Needs Services for Students with Special Needs exists to help students who have visual, learning, auditory, mobility disabilities or impairments to function in a graduate from Brigham Young University-Hawaii. The office coordinates services to helps students. |
