Lodging
BYUHawaii Travel has kindly offered to extend the BYUH contract rate to participants in the Hawaii State Mathematics Championships at Turtle Bay Resort (approximately five miles from BYUH). The rates for the different types of rooms are: $209.00 for ocean view, $233.00 for ocean front premium; and $254.00 for ocean front deluxe, with 11.96% State taxes and $20.00 resort fee. King Bedded room is for up to three persons maximum. Double Queen bedded room is for up to four persons maximum. Additional person above double occupancy will be $50.00 per night plus tax. Please email BYUHawaii Travel at travelservices@byuh.edu or call them at 675-3950 or 675-3393 to reserve your rooms. BYUHawaii Travel will need your credit card number and expiration date at time of making your hotel reservations. A deposit amount equal to 50% of total room cost including tax will be required at time of reservation. A reservation must be cancelled outside seven (7 ) days of arrival in order to avoid forfeiting the fifty (50%) percent deposit collected at time of booking a reservation. Cancellation outside of seven (7) days prior to arrival wil not be assessed a cancellation fee. The fifty (50%) percent deposit will be forfeiting for all no-shows. Early check-outs will be assessed a penalty of one (1) night.
As an alternate choice, BYUHawaii travel has suggested Laie Inn, located next to the Polynesian Cultural Center. The rates for a room which could sleep four persons are $89.00 plus 11.41% State tax. You can make your hotel reservations at Laie Inn at 808-293-9282 on your own.
When you request a room reservation, please do so under the group name of: "Hawaii State Mathematics Championship or State Math Bowl". The deadline for lodging is April 11, 2008 - Friday.
Food and Refreshments
A lunch will be provided immediately after the Math Bowl during which the awards will be presented. Refreshments will be provided during the Math Bowl contest. Your $21.00 participation/entry fee will help to pay a portion of the costs of the refreshments and lunch.
Transportation

if needed, will be on your own.
- Ground
Transportation. Same as above.
*** If collision damage waiver (loss damage waiver) is
desired, then this loss damage waiver varies among vehicle rental
companies. However, all protection plans
are optional, and many D.O.E. State schools as well as private schools may
already have insurance coverage, so please check with your individual schools.
