Ulutunu F. “Ulu” Faumuina, 52, of Honolulu, a Princess Kaiulani Sheraton Hotel cook and former Waikiki Beach Hotel employee, was born in Gagaifo, Western Samoa. Seven members of a Palolo family killed in a fire Oct. 15, 1997  that destroyed their home will be remembered in services Friday and Saturday.  He is survived by wife E. Elaine; sons Don and Ulutunu F. Faumuina; daughters Lagi L. Poston and Jane Faumuina; brothers Paueli and Saimanu; and sisters Tagivale Noa and Aotao Malepeai; and a grandson. His son, James K.T., 12, a Jarrett Intermediate School student, also died. Born in Honolulu, he is also survived by grandfather Lokeni Siilata. Faumuina’s daughter, Ramona V.  Mona” Asuao, 22, a Frank’s Market cashier, also died in the fire. Born in Honolulu, she is also survived by son Justin K. Ramona Asuao’s husband, Ailatupu “Tupu,” 31, , a construction laborers helper, died in the fire. Born in Siunu, Western Samoa, he is also survived by parents Leitupo and Vaelua; brothers Vea, Lima, Lino, Ionatana, and Tuputavita Leitupo-Asuao; and sisters Loloa Fa’alogo and Tafeaga Leitupo Asuao. Shizuko Fujii, 79, of Honolulu died July 1, 1997  in Queen’s Hospital. Born in Kohala, Hawaii, she is survived by husband Herbert H.; daughter Theone; brothers Tateo and Robert Takahashi; and sisters Yoshiko Kimura, Haruko Tanaka and Sumiko Hamamura. Private services.      [SB 11/07/1997]
