Lucia Barrios Valderama, 94, of Wahiawa, died Jan. 9, 1995. She was born Nov. 20, 1900 in San Juan, Ilocos Sol, the Philippines and was a member of Our Lady of Sorrow Church. Theodore Evangelista Valdez Jr., 64, of Honolulu, died Feb. 18, 1995. He was born in Honolulu. He retired from Young Brothers after 31 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion. Graciano Valencia, 89, of Laupahoehoe, Hawaii, died Jan. 16, 1995. He was born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, the Philippine and was a retired tractor driver for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. He belonged to Laupahoehoe Senior Citizens. Manuel “Speed” Vasconcellos, a retired plumber, died Friday, Dec 29, 1995 in the Life Care Center of Hilo. Vasconcellos, 91, was born in Paauilo, Hawaii. George Teixeira Vaspra Jr., 73, of Waialua, died Jan. 28, 1995. He was born August 30, 1921 in Wailuku, Maui, and retired from Hawaiian Bitumuls Co. after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union 3. David Velasco, 61, of Kaneohe died Jan. 13, 1995 at Kaiser Foundation Hospital. He was born May 15, 1933 in Houston, TX and was a retired ship’s serviceman first class with the U.S. Navy. Antone “Tony” Vierra Jr., 74, of Wahiawa, died Feb. 15, 1995 in Honolulu. He held membership in the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Catholic Church.
