John Mark Haberlin, 42, died in San Francisco , Feb. 5, 1995 of complications related to AIDS.  Former resident of  Honolulu. Survived by mother, Betty Haberlin (Young) of Longmeadow, MA.; brother, Thomas (Kathy); nieces Kerry and Kimberly. Kiyoshi Haimoto, 64, of Keauhou, Kona, Hawaii, died Jan. 8, 1995.  He was born in Kalaoa, Papaikou, Hawaii, and was a retired heavy equipment mechanic for Allied Aggregates, Kona, and former employee of J.M. Tanaka Construction, Kona.  He was amember of Kona Hongwanji  Kyodan, Disabled American Veterans, and Keauhou Kumiai.  Survived by wife, Hatsuyo; son, Harvey of Kailua-Kona; daughters Joyce Tokeshi of Hilo, Laurie Grace, Sheila Matsuoka of Kalaoa, and Merle; brothers, Masato of Honolulu, Masaru of Kalaoa and Tadashi of Hilo; sisters, Kiyono  Yoshino of Hilo, Shizuko Hohu of Honolulu. James Kazuo Haji, 72, of Honolulu, died Jan. 12, 1995.  He was born in Honolulu.  He retired as a carton pressman with St. Regis Paper Box Co. in Chicago. Survived by wife, Dorothy E.; sons, James K. Clara Lani Halemano, 42,  of Hilo, died Feb. 9, 1995. She was born in Honolulu and was an accountant for the U.S.  Coast Guard Exchange in Honolulu.  She was previously an accountant for Excelsior Dairy Inc. in Hilo and was a member of the Hawaiian Bowling Club. Frances J. Halualani of Keaau, Hawaii, a housekeeper for Hilton Hawaiian Village, died Tuesday Dec 26, 1995 in Hilo Hospital. Halualani, 72, was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son, Russell “Butch” Jones; stepsons Rudolph, Ulysses, Arthur and Marcus; daughters Leialoha “Rocky” Kaluhiwa and Germaine Hee; stepdaughters Eselle K. Drew, Carol K. Yoshino Mukai Hamai, 84, of Lahaina, Maui, died Jan. 13, 1995.  She was born in Puunenr.  Survived by husband, Shoichi Hamai; daughters, Violet Fujishige and Fay, both of Kahului, and Jane Nagai and Karen Mabe, both of Honolulu; brothers, Sadamu and Tsutomu Mukai, both of Kahului, and Shiro Mukai of  Kula; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.   [Adv Jan. 18, 1995]

 

Thomas Toshio Hamamoto, 82, of Waialua passed away Jan. 17, 1995 at Wahiawa General Hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1912 in Waialua, Oahu.  He retired from  Waialua Sugar Plantation as a supervisor after 47 years of service.  He is survived by his wife, Clara Shizuko Hamamoto; sons, Roy T., Leonard Y. (Gertrude), and Melvin M. (Christine) of Washington; daughter, Mrs. Enok H. (Janice S.) Nielsen; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren;  brother, Duke N. Mose Kane  Wawahilani Hamili Jr., 72,  of Waianea, died Feb. 11, 1995 Tripler Medical Center.  He was born Oct 25, 1922in Puna, Hawaii. He retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of  service. Takeo Hanaoka, 58, of Honolulu died on Jan. 31, 1995 at the St. Francis Hospice.  He was born July 13, 1936 in Wailuku, Maui. Survived by mother, Kimiyo of Kauai; brothers, Richard (Mildred) of CA, Tachashi (Frances) of Molokai, Masao (Patsy) and John (Fay) of Kauai; sisters, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Nunnally of Arizona, Mrs. Ralph (Lillian) Uamae, Mrs. James (Jeanne) Martin of Ohio; nieces and nephews. Francis Yoshimura  Harada, 80, of Mountain View, formerly of Oahu, died Jan. 24, 1995. Harry William Harvey, 84, of Kailua, died Jan. 30, 1995. Tane Hayashi, 92, of Honolulu, died Jan. 2, 1995.  She was born in Hanapepe, Kauai and was a member of Soka Ga Kai International and Kohala Senior Citizen Club.  Survived by son, Edward S. China” Raymond Hong  Sung Hee, 64,  of Honolulu, Hawaii, died Jan. 13, 1995 at his residence.  He was born June 9, 1930 in Mana, Hawaii.  He is survived by sons, Terry A. and Scott L. Hee; daughters, Sheryl  L. Hee, Mrs. Anthony  C. (Wendy H.) Villanueva; brothers, Patrick H.N. (Eleanor) Hee, Robert H.C. (Annette) Hee; sisters, Mrs. Albert Q.Y. (Priscilla) Tom, Mrs. Wallace S.D. (Pauline) Tom and Mrs. Harold K.M. Waldron Henderson, 75, of Honolulu, died Jan. 4, 1995.  He was retired after 40 years of service with Amfac and was a graduate of Iolani School, past President of Waikiki Surf Club and a member of Hui Panalaau. Sawayo Hiratsuka, 85, of Gardena, CA, formerly of Hilo and Honolulu, died Feb. 1, 1995. She was born in Hakalau, Hawaii.  Survived by daughters,  Suzue Sato, Judy T. Haruo “Skip  Hironaka, 81, of Sacramento, CA, died Jan. 25, 1995. He was born in Honolulu and was a longtime Sacramento Army Depot staff member. He was a World War II member of the 100 Battalion/442 Regimental Combat Team and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Post 8985. Survived by daughter, Terri Bowman; grandson, Evyn A. Benjamin Cho Sung Ho, 74, of Honolulu, died Jan. 27, 1995 at St. Francis Medical Center.  He was born June 20, 1920 in China and was president of Kwong Wah Chong, Inc. Survived by wife, Violet S. Franklin Gim Minn Ho, 59, of Honolulu, died Jan. 16, 1995 at St. Francis Medical Center.  He was born April 20, 1935 in Wailua, Oahu, and was formerly a probation officer in  Los Angeles and former night manager for Host International  at the Honolulu Airport.  He was also  a U.S. Army veteran and avid sportsman and accomplished tennis player.  Survived by brothers, Walter G.S. (Violet) Ho,  Stanley G.J. (Nadeen) Ho  and James G.Y.
