CIRCULATION POLICIES
LIBRARY USE PRIVILEGES: BYU-H students, faculty and staff may borrow materials using THEIR OWN current University ID Card. Off-campus patrons age 12 or older may use Library resources by purchasing a Guest Card ID (available at the Aloha Center). Children under age 12 not accompanied by an adult are not allowed in the Library after 6:00pm.
LOAN PERIODS: Students, staff and guest-card holders may borrow books for three weeks (Faculty for longer periods), with a three-week renewal as needed. Periodicals, atlases, reference books, Pacific Islands, special collection and non-print materials do not circulate.
BOOK HOLDS: A hold may be requested at the Circulation Desk for any book currently out. Requesters will be notified when the books are AVAILABLE. Books need to be picked up within two weeks.
BOOK RETURNS AND CHARGES: All borrowed printed materials should be retuned to the Circulation Desk. Book drops for after hours are located outside the entrance to the library. Charges are collected at the Circulation Desk for all overdue materials. Interlibrary book loans should be returned to the Circulation Desk.
BYU-H FACULTY BORROWING AGREEMENT WITH UHM: We have concluded an agreement with the library at the University of Hawaii –Manoa. BYUH faculty will have on-site access and borrowing privileges. Borrowing privileges extended to BYUH faculty will be equivalent to those provided to UHM undergraduate students. For UHM circulation policies, see http://libweb.hawaii.edu/uhmlib/libinfo/policies_circ.html. To use this service, faculty will need to present their BYUH ID card. The staff at UHM will attach a barcode to the ID card and register the faculty in the UHM Library database. If you have any questions contact Doug Bates at 3851.

ARCHIVES: Research access to selected archival materials about the university, community & LDS Church in Hawaii (293-3869)
GROUP STUDY ROOMS: Group study rooms for BYUH faculty, staff, and student groups. Reserve online from http://w3.byuh.edu/library.
LIBRARY ORIENTATION: Library orientations for individuals or groups may be requested by calling ext. 3884, 3866 or 3852.
LIBRARY WEB SITE: http://w3.byuh.edu/library. Accessing this web site will allow you full access to all features of the library including library resources, the online catalog, indexes and databases, and internet resources.
LOST & FOUND: Lost items are stored at the Circulation Desk (293-3876) for two weeks, then sent to the Aloha Center front desk (293-3545)
MEDIA DEVELOPMENT LAB: Provides assistance in developing graphic and photographic instructional materials. (293-3849) Tape Duplication Services assists in video and audio production and duplication. (293-3871)
REFERENCE SERVICES: Librarians and student assistants provide information and research assistance (293-3878)
RESERVE MATERIALS: Call the Circulation desk at (293-3876)
