General Temple View Apartments(TVA) Information
If you have already been accepted to the University,
you should pay the $50 non-refundable TVA processing fee to
the cashier's
office at BYUH Cashiers Office, BYUH #1955, 55-220 Kulanui
St., Laie, HI 96762. You may also call (808)675-3724 to make
a credit card payment by telephone between the hours of 9:00am
and 4:00pm Hawaiian Standard Time.
If you are paying by check or money order, please include
your name and BYUH identification number on the check. Please
be sure to indicate on the check that your payment is for the
TVA application fee. After you have been accepted to the University,
you will receive a confirmation letter with a survey attached.
As soon as you receive that letter, return the survey ASAP
in order to process your request for TVA.
The $50 payment does not guarantee a space in
TVA, but it does place you on the second prority wait list.
Assignment
letters for TVA are sent to new residents 30 days before the
beginning of the semester. If you receive an assignment you
can expect this letter. If you do not receive an assignment
letter, you will receive a letter letting you know that your
request for TVA has been declined.
If you do not receive an assignment, you must
make other housing arrangements on your own. A list of off-campus
housing can
be found by clicking on the "Off Campus Housing" link
to the left. For further off-campus housing questions, contact
John Kloeppel at (808)675-3268. He is the off-campus housing
coordinator. With a limited number of TVA apartments, new applicants
should plan on finding off-campus housing for
at least one semester.
