Project Process

  1. Read and fill out the top two sections of the Graphic Design Project Request Form
  2. The majority of Graphic Design projects also have text or writing to go along with them. Please see our recommendations for Posters and Flyers or Brochures and then contact the University Writing Production team to polish the wording of your messages. For brochure projects please allow an extra week for creating, editing, and taking the project through 2 or 3 drafts with you.
  3. When your text is ready, email your form to graphics@byuh.edu and the Graphics team will schedule a creative meeting with you. Come with your best ideas and you will brainstorm together the visuals that will best compliment and express your ideas. In the meeting you will discuss and set the tasks, due dates, design costs, and printing specifications of your project. Your project will be prioritized according to workload and submission date, therefore the earlier you start the process, the better. Our graphics designers average about a week from creation to final approval.
  4. The graphics team will then put together and present to you 1 or 2 options of design layout for you to choose from or make adjustments to.
  5. To expedite and streamline the project to completion, only 2 or 3 revisions of the artwork will be performed before a final decision and draft needs to be made.
  6. The Graphics team will then request a quote from Print Services for both price and timeline. If the printers can meet your needs, then they will set a time when you may go and approve a printed copy of the project before printing the entire quantity.
