Indonesian Word of the week:
'Saya'
This word is used when referring to oneself either as an subject or as an object.
Club Mission Statement
Indonesia is an archipelago country with many islands and diverse culture within itself. With this club we intend to contribute to the establishment of peace internationally by:
- Introducing and sharing our diverse culture and customs.
- Strengthening the relationship among Indonesians and everyone else in BYUH.
- Acting as a media to share accurate information about Indonesia with the world and those who desire to gain a better understanding.
- Contributing to the cultural diversity that exists in this campus.
Constitution
- The Indonesian Club president must be Indonesian, in order to maintain the cultural aspect of the club; other members of the presidency are preferably Indonesian as well, though it is possible to have other students to be a part of the presidency.
- The Presidency is chosen annually by voting.
- If the president is unable to perform his/her duty for certain reasons (for instance: health problems, GPA problems, etc) the Vice President will take over for the rest of that particular year or until the next election.
- If the president is unable to come to a meeting or club activity, the vice president will be in charge of that event.
- Indonesian club membership is open to everyone.
- The Indonesian club enforces the BYUH Honor Code, thus promotes activities that are in accordance to these standards.
Our vision is to bring our country and culture into recognition in this campus, also to share our culture in BYUH environment that we can strengthen relationships with our 'cousins' from all over the world
