Welcome to
the Indian Cultural club. We are made up of Indians all over the
world (Fiji,India,Pakistan,Austaralia,Srilanka and the United States)
who have come together to share our common ground..India and all
the richness of its cultures. Together we enjoy the diversity of
our Indian heritage. This is a site dedicated to our culture as
well as those of people who find the Indian culture fasinating.
The Indian Culture Club was organized in the fall of 1999. Part
of the challenge was to gather people that would be interested in
the club. Once this was done, we had calm waters ahead of us. The
Indian Culture Club is one with a vision. That vision is to not
only unite all our Indian brothers and sisters on this campus and
give everyone a sense of belonging, but to also share our diverse
and beautiful culture with the rest of our BYU-Hawaii family. The
Indian students on this campus hail from different parts of the
world, some from India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia, while others from
Fiji, Trinidad and United States. They bring with them their values
and ways of "doing things." They also bring with themselves the
richness of their individual cultures that have remained untainted
even in foreign lands. This semester the Indian Culture Club is
geared to accomplish the objectives stated above ... but who said
that we can't have any fun! We had a joyous time last semester and
this time we only wish for the best. Please, take this opportunity
to experience the exotic and rich "India" that you may have only
read about before. Aaiye......
