Beginner lessons will be taught by Ryan Abel and for advanced we will study in group- the focus for this semester for advanced will be opening traps. We have ordered some books for our library and they should be in shortly. We will start club ratings and a club ladder, as well as club tournaments - we'll explain how they work. We're working on becoming a USCF (US Chess Federation) sanctioned club, so hopefully that can take place sooner rather than later. If we get approval from the school, we will retain club ratings and also have national USCF ratings. Also in the works is a school match against UH, Chaminade, and HPU, probably in May.
