Visiting Students
Where else but BYU-Hawaii . . .?
BYU-Hawaii offers a unique program for students who are looking for an educational and cultural experience in beautiful Laie. Course offerings are designed to satisfy the needs of every type of student. General education and a broad selection of elective classes are offered during the spring and summer terms (Courses are subject to change depending on funding available. Courses are also limited to one section per term with only 15 to 20 students per course).
The minimun requirements for High School graduates and those who have less than 30 completed college credits are as follows:
- ACT: 22 or higher or SAT: 1100-1150 or higher
- High school GPA: 3.2 or higher
Transfer students with 30 semester credit hours will need to provide an official college transcript for all the colleges and/or universities previously attended. To be competitive, applicants will need to have a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.

All courses will transfer to the college or university of your choice. There are academic requirements to be accepted as a visiting student. You must be worthy to attend and submit an ecclesiastical endorsement. Visiting students are admitted on a first come first served basis. Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid or scholarships. Any visiting students who desires to "matriculate" as regular degree-seeking students must submit a completed application and meet all applicable deadlines.

Visiting Students must submit the following:
- Part 1: Student Information
- Part 2: School Selection/Scholarships
- Part 3: Confidential Report
- $30 non-refundable application fee
- Official college/university transcript
If less than 30 college or university credits completed, also submit:
- High School transcript
- ACT/SAT scores
