PJSA Peace and Justice Studies Association

The Peace and Justice Studies Association (PJSA) is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2001 as a result of a merger of the Consortium on Peace research, Education and Development (COPRED) and the Peace Studies Association (PSA). Both organizations provided leadership in the broadly defined field of peace, conflict and justice studies. They bring together academics, K-12 teachers and grassroots activists to explore alternatives to violence and share visions and strategies for peacebuilding, social justice, and social change. PJSA also serves as a professional association for scholars in the field of peace and conflict resolution studies.

INCORE
INCORE was established, initially as a Joint Institution of UNU and the University of Ulster, at the beginning of 1993. INCORE's Research Unit coordinates and supports research worldwide, as well as conducting its own research programme. Current projects are concerned with peace processes and the problems associated with societies coming out of violence; mediation, education, political leadership and developing and implementing public policy. Other topics are under active development. INCORE has also developed a Conflict Data Service, to support research and training. This can be accessed on the World Wide Web at: http://www.incore.ulst.ac.uk INCORE's Policy And Evaluation Unit aims to examine, research and analyse the ways in which conflict management research and 'lessons learned' are currently utilised by policy makers and to identify mechanisms to make this process more effective. INCORE recognises evaluation as a critical means to develop lessons and best practice and therefore, sees it as a significant aspect of better policy making. The Ethnic Studies Network played a major role in the establishment of INCORE, and the 1992 survey of members greatly influenced its approach.

Campus Conflict Resolution Resources

The primary objective of the Campus Conflict Resolution Resources project (Campus-adr.org) is to significantly increase administrator, faculty, staff and student awareness of, access to, and use of conflict resolution information specifically tailored to the higher education context. The project came into being thanks to seed funds from the Conflict Resolution Information Source project followed by a major 3-year grant from the federal Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE). This site is really fun and interactive. There are endless resources for us to use as students and also for the professors. There is also a fun game section if you need a break from life.
